Luoyang Zhengju’s Youth Day: Sprucing Up Urban Parks
Youth Day saw Luoyang Zhengju New Materials’ team roll up their sleeves for a city park revitalization drive. Over 200 employees, channeling the May Fourth spirit of youthful energy and civic duty, spent the day cleaning, planting, and upgrading facilities in Qingxi Park, a beloved but aging green space.
Volunteers divided into teams: one tackled litter, using grabbers made from the company’s durable composites to collect waste without damaging grass. Another group planted 500 native shrubs and flowers, using biodegradable composite pots that enrich soil as they decompose.
The engineering team installed 20 new benches crafted from recycled plastic composites—waterproof, rot-resistant, and designed for comfort. They also repaired broken paths with permeable composite pavers, improving drainage to prevent puddles.
A "Green Education Corner" was set up, with displays on eco-friendly materials. Young staff led mini-workshops for visitors, teaching 150 kids how to reduce waste.
