Luoyang Zhengju’s Youth Day: Guiding College Students’ Career Paths
On Youth Day, Luoyang Zhengju New Materials’ young professionals organized a meaningful public welfare activity—career counseling sessions for 300 college students majoring in materials science and engineering. Embracing the May Fourth spirit of passing on enthusiasm and experience, over 50 employees volunteered to share insights, helping students bridge the gap between academia and industry.
The event featured "Industry Insight Workshops" where young engineers and researchers introduced cutting-edge trends in new materials. They explained applications of functional polymers, composite materials and eco-friendly materials through case studies, using samples from the company’s R&D center to make abstract concepts tangible.
Interactive "Resume Clinic" sessions were popular, with HR specialists and department managers providing personalized advice on job application materials and interview skills. "Their practical suggestions helped me clarify my career direction," said a senior student.
The highlight was "Mentorship Matching", pairing 100 students with employees for long-term guidance. Each mentor received a composite notebook made from the company’s eco-friendly materials to record communication notes, symbolizing the transmission of knowledge.
"We hope to help students navigate career challenges with our experience," said a 32-year-old R&D supervisor. CEO noted, "Investing in youth is investing in the future of the industry. This activity reflects our commitment to nurturing talent."
Feedback was positive, with 90% of students reporting clearer career goals. The company plans to make this an annual event, continuing to support young people’s growth on Youth Day.
