Luoyang Zhengju’s Youth Day Initiative Inspires Next Generation
In celebration of Youth Day, Luoyang Zhengju New Materials mobilized its team for a vibrant community charity event focused on empowering local teenagers. Embracing the May Fourth spirit of youthful vigor and social commitment, over 200 employees spent the day engaging with students from three underprivileged schools, blending material science expertise with mentorship.
The highlight was a "Science Exploration Workshop" where young engineers led hands-on experiments using the company’s eco-friendly composites. Students built mini bridges with lightweight polymer beams, tested impact resistance of recycled plastic samples, and learned how materials shape daily life. "Watching their eyes light up when the bridges held weight—this is why we do it," said 28-year-old materials specialist Hannah Wang.
Volunteers also transformed a school courtyard into a "Dream Mural Wall" using weather-resistant paints and composite panels. Over 50 teens collaborated with employees to paint scenes of innovation and sustainability, turning a plain wall into a colorful testament to ambition. The panels, designed to withstand 10+ years of weather, will serve as a lasting inspiration.
In addition, the company donated 300 "STEM Kits" containing composite tools, microscopes, and experiment guides—all packed in durable cases made from recycled materials. Each kit included a handwritten note from an employee sharing their own career journey, fostering personal connections.
The day concluded with a career talk where young professionals from Zhengju shared how curiosity led them to careers in material science. "I hope they see that science isn’t just formulas—it’s solving real problems," said R&D associate Leo Zhang, 31.
